The noticeboard your lot actually reads.

Fête dates, room hire, lost cat — noticeboard that reaches your lot

What it is

Advert, in a sentence or three

A notice with dates. It is not an order. Nobody checks out, and nothing is delivered. It shows while it is live, and it expires when the date passes.

Advert

Fête dates, room hire, lost cat — noticeboard that reaches your lot

How it works

Three steps. No MBA required.

  1. 1

    Write the notice

A title, the kind of notice, photos if you have them, and the dates it should run.

  2. 2

It goes live on those dates

Before the start date it can sit scheduled. On the day, it shows as live in the spinneys you post it to.

  3. 3

    Pause or let it expire

You can pause it and turn it back on. When the end date passes, it expires on its own.

Example listings

What it looks like on a stall

Three made-up notices. There is no payment step on an advert.

  • Advert

    Diwali street party

    Anjali Mehta · Belgrave, Leicester

    Notice

Live for a fortnight, expires the day after

    1. Dates on the notice

Anjali sets it to appear a fortnight before the party and expire the day after, with the street time in the text.

    2. It switches on

On the start date it moves from scheduled to live. The street sees it in the spinney.

    3. The day after, it expires

Nobody has to take it down. The end date does that.

  • Advert

    Wednesday coffee morning

    Shirley Pritchard · Splott, Cardiff

    Notice

A weekly notice, paused over Christmas

    1. The notice points at the hall

The listing is the Wednesday morning. The button goes to the hall page, not a Spinney checkout.

    2. Paused in December

Shirley pauses it while the chapel is shut, then resumes it in January.

    3. Still not an order

People who want to come read the notice. Spinney does not take a booking payment on this listing.

  • Advert

    Barn dance, Saturday

    Rhys Morgan · Llandeilo

    Notice

One week on the board, then it comes down

    1. A short run

The notice has the photo, the barn, and an end date the morning after the dance.

    2. Live the same day

It shows in the spinney. There is no price and no button that takes money.

    3. Sold out, so they pause it

The barn fills on Thursday. Rhys pauses the notice instead of waiting for the end date.
